Terms of service
Draft of October 2026
Draft for legal review. This page is not yet in force and may change before VCTR launches. Text in [brackets] is still to be completed.
These terms apply to your use of VCTR: the website at vctr.io, the app, the API and the Links and QR Codes they create. VCTR is provided by Crobox Services B.V., trading as Crobox, Kloveniersburgwal 131H, 1011 KD Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 80401120 ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent.
1. Accounts and Workspaces
- You need a verified email address to create Links.
- Links, QR Codes, Domains and members belong to a Workspace. Each Workspace has one Owner, who is responsible for it and its billing.
- Each person may own one Free Workspace.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys. Keep them safe and tell us about misuse.
2. Plans, prices and billing
- Plans, prices and limits are listed on the pricing page. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment provider, Mollie: you pay the first period with iDEAL, a card or Bancontact, which lets us charge each renewal to your card or by SEPA direct debit. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12. VAT is added where it applies; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are reverse-charged.
- A paid plan starts when your first payment succeeds, and follows your subscription. An upgrade applies at once, with an invoice for the difference over the rest of the period; a downgrade or a change between monthly and yearly applies at the next renewal. If a payment fails, the plan stays while we retry it and you can pay the invoice in the app; when it is still unpaid 14 days after it failed, the invoice is cancelled and the Workspace moves to the Free plan. A cancelled subscription runs until the end of the period paid for.
- [Refunds, price changes and notice periods.]
3. Our keep-working commitment
Links you create keep redirecting through plan downgrades, unpaid or cancelled subscriptions and exhausted quotas. Losing a paid plan only stops you creating more than the Free plan allows and makes paid features, such as Rules, read-only. Hits beyond your monthly quota are still redirected, as Untracked hits.
A Link stops only when you delete it (directly, by deleting its Workspace, which takes effect after 30 days, or by removing its custom Domain) or when we take it down under section 5. Its Code is then retired on that hostname and never given to anyone else.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow the acceptable use policy. In short: no phishing, malware, spam, illegal content or deception, and no getting around plan limits.
5. Safety and takedowns
- We check Destinations against threat lists. A Link whose Destination matches is Flagged: visitors see a warning page instead of the Destination, and the Owner is emailed. Phishing and malware Destinations offer no way through.
- We may take down a Link that breaks these terms. A Link that is taken down stops redirecting and its Code is retired.
- We may suspend a Workspace or account used for repeated or serious abuse.
- Anyone can report a Link at vctr.io/report.
6. The API
The API is available on every plan within its rate limits. Don't use it to get around plan limits or to load VCTR beyond normal use. We version the API and give notice before breaking changes [notice period].
7. Your data
- Your Links, QR Codes and analytics remain yours. You can export them as CSV or JSON at any time, on any plan.
- We process personal data as described in the privacy policy and, for visitors to your Links, the data processing agreement.
- You give us the rights we need to host and serve your content, such as logos in QR Code designs and contact details on vCard pages.
8. Ending your account
The Owner can delete a Workspace at any time. Its Links keep redirecting for 30 days, during which the deletion can be undone; then they stop and their Codes are retired. [Termination by us, and what survives termination.]
9. Warranties and liability
[Service availability, disclaimers and limitation of liability.]
10. Changes and governing law
We will announce material changes to these terms in advance by email. These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam; if you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection the mandatory law of your country gives you.
